En France, à Paris nous fêtons cette année LAFAYETTE

A Paris, mort le 20 mai 1834, Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert Motier, marquis de La Fayette est né le 6 septembre 1757 à Chavagnac en Auvergne et nous fêtons cette année ses 250 ans.

Quel Homme fut-il?
Il fit ses études au collège Louis le Grand à Paris. Il fut intime de George Washington.
En 1789, suite aux Etats Généraux, il rédige "La Déclaration des Droits de l' Homme et du Citoyen"
Le marquis de La fayette est aussi l'inventeur de la cocarde tricolore, bleu, blanc, rouge.

Il disait :" J'ai pu me tromper mais je n'ai jamais trompé personne" .

Marie-Joseph-Paul-Yves-Roch-Gilbert Du Motier, Marquis de La Fayette (or lafayette) (eptember 6, 1757-May 20, 1834) was a French aristocrat and military officer.
Lafayette is considered a nationalhero in both France and the United States for his participation in the American and French revolutions. In 2002, he was posthumously made an Honorary Citizen of the United States; there are only six Honorary Citizens.
Lafayette proposed the combination of the colours of Paris, red and blue, and the royal white, into the famous tricolour cockade of modern France.
Pursing these goals he drafted the "Décalration of the Rights oh Lan and of the Citizen" which was adopted by the Assembly.
